Speechiox is built around ideas, not social status. Community members normally participate with a community username. Users who deliberately wish to appear under their real identity may apply for a Verified Public Identity.
A Verified Public Identity confirms who is speaking. It does not make an opinion more important, create additional authority or provide special treatment.
Verification confirms identity. It does not create privilege.
Verified Public Identities and ordinary Community Identities remain subject to the same standards, moderation processes and responsibilities. A real name does not increase the value of a thesis and does not protect anyone from moderation.
Some users deliberately want to speak publicly.
Journalists, researchers, institutions, organisations, public figures and other professionals may sometimes wish to connect their public identity with their contributions.
Speechiox allows this only through a separate verification process. Public identity details cannot simply be added to an ordinary community profile.
Public identity is never required.
A user does not need a verified identity to create theses, comment, vote or participate in community discussions.
Public claims must be checked.
Speechiox does not present a real name, organisation or public role unless the identity has completed the required verification.
Verification creates real administrative work.
Verification may involve document review, identity checks, support and ongoing monitoring. Public Identity therefore uses a paid application process.

Speechiox does not reserve public identity for famous people or large institutions. Anyone with a legitimate reason to participate publicly may apply.

A Verified Public Identity may provide readers with context, but it does not receive higher visibility, stronger voting rights, protected status or preferential moderation.
Public figures, institutions and paying users remain subject to the same Community Guidelines and Moderation Rules as every other member.

Impersonation is not permitted.
Users must not pretend to be another person, company, organisation, public authority or public figure. Ordinary Community Identities must also avoid usernames or profile details that could reasonably mislead others.
Identity-related violations may lead to rejection, restriction, suspension or removal under the Community Guidelines and Moderation Rules.

Both forms of participation belong to Speechiox. Both remain subject to the same community standards, and neither receives special authority.
